How to apply before 800 other people do
The uncomfortable truth of job hunting in India: most rejections aren't about you — they're about timing. By the time a role hits Naukri, hundreds have already applied. Recruiters read the first 100–200 resumes and rarely reach the rest. Here's how to be in that first window.
1. Watch the source, not the board
Roles appear on a company's career page and ATS first, and reach the big boards 2–4 days later (if ever). Those first days are when the applicant pile is small and your resume actually gets read.
2. Narrow before you widen
Applying to 100 roles you half-fit is worse than applying to 8 you strongly fit, fast. Filter hard on role, level, salary and city so you only spend energy where you have a real shot.
3. Apply within hours, not days
- Have a base resume ready to tailor in 10 minutes.
- Match the JD's top three requirements in your first bullet points.
- Apply at the real source link — never a reposted board listing.
You didn't lose because you weren't good enough. No one ever saw you. Fix the timing and everything changes.
Stop refreshing job boards. Hyrd pings matching roles to your Telegram the second they go live — from career pages and ATS, before the crowd.
